Accomplishments Celebrated by Red Point Church

Spring Spruce Up on Grosvenor

Red Point Church partnered with the Building Department of the City of South Euclid, Ward 4 Councilwoman Jane Goodman, and the Hillcrest YMCA "Y Achievers Group" to spruce up a few homes on Grosvenor Avenue as well as throw a block party. Many thanks to Utilities Supply for their generous donation of mulch and top soil. Everyone involved had a great time and enjoyed the festivities. Feel free to contact Red Point if you would be interested seeing a Spruce Up Day on your street or hosting a block party. We would love to serve you. See the pics and write up in the local newsletter below.

First Baptism

Jared and AmyWe were so proud to hold our first baptism at Red Point Church!  On March 2nd, 2008, Amy McQuiston was baptized by her husband Jared in the swimming pool of the Hillcrest YMCA.  We were so pleased to share in this experience with Amy and look forward to baptizing many more people who wish to identify themselves with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

YMCA of Greater Cleveland Triangle Award

ymcaSince the beginning of Red Point Church, the Hillcrest YMCA has been a great part of our ministry here in Cleveland.  We have volunteered our time as a church and through the use of mission teams from outside the area.  In return, they have done nothing but promote us and tell others about what we are doing in the community.  They even let us use the pool for baptisms!  As a thank you for our volunteer efforts, the Hillcrest YMCA has given us the YMCA of Greater Cleveland Triangle Award.  Below, Alvin Austin, the executive director, was gracious enough to write why they believed we deserved this award. We look forward to serving there in the future!

Fresh Coat Cleveland

Red Point Church joined up with Fresh Coat Cleveland in an effort to paint the homes of needy people within the city of Cleveland. In particular, Red Point Church adopted the Euclid Beach Mobile Home Park and painted seven mobile homes throughout the summer of 2007. We also threw a few parties afterwards to make others in the park aware of our efforts as well as show the love of Christ. Our goal is to continue painting mobile homes there and encourage existing neighbors within that park to help us paint in the future. Below is a video describing Fresh Coat Cleveland and some pictures.
